Getting ready for Hallowe’en at Friday Family Food and Fun

On Friday October 20th, the first event for the fall was held. Seven families attended plus members of St. Paul’s Youth Group. Following a delicious dinner, the children and youth played a game of non-competitive musical chairs and another game involving getting a hanging marshmallow off a string without using their hands.

The children in grade 4 or greater then went with Melissa to another part of the church to play another game and to do some planning for future Youth Group activities.

The younger children heard a story about masks and then decorated masks. They made a simple ghost puppet that they discovered could be tossed in the air and flew like a badminton birdie. They heard another story about 5 little pumpkins which they sang and acted out.
