The Prayer Shawl Ministry is a small group of people who knit and/or crochet prayer shawls. A Prayer Shawl is a tangible example of God’s love and care for us. It is given to anyone who needs or wants to be reminded of God’s presence and blessings, such as those in need of strength, while undergoing an illness, as well as for joy and celebration. It reminds us that God is walking beside us and holding us up when we cannot go on. As it is being made, we pray for whoever the recipient may be. We hold them up to God in whatever they may be going through. The minister blesses the shawls and gives to out.

Making these shawls gives us compassion for others, helps us to grow in the fruit of the spirit, and we find ourselves blessed with more joy, faithfulness, kindness, grace, and peace as we reach out to others.

 We meet monthly to hand in what we have made, exchange ideas, trade patterns and get help as needed, and enjoy the fellowship

Anyone can join us in this wonderful ministry. Besides shawls we make lap robes, baby blankets, chemo hats, and baby hats If you have wool or yarn that you wish to donate to us, it will be greatly appreciated.
