Join me for a walk along the Rivers’ Trail to the labyrinth or cycle from Dallas Park, Kamloops to St. Peter’s Monte Creek . . . details . . . .

This summer I am joining the third annual PWRDF Wild Ride as it marks 65 years of support for refugees and internally displaced people. PWRDF’s goal is to raise $65,000.  I will be cycling 65 km from Kamloops to St. Peter’s Monte Creek this summer in order to raise $$$ towards the goal!

On Friday, August 23, join Joy at 10 am the kiosk under the Red Bridge in Pioneer Park for a hosted 500m walk along the Rivers’ Trail to the labyrinth. There we will share refugee stories and pray for refugees and displaced people.

On Sunday, August 25, you are welcome to join Joy & Lynn Snook at 8 am to cycle from Dallas Park, Kamloops to St. Peter’s Monte Creek where we will worship with the community before returning to Dallas Park, Kamloops.”

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), this year more than 100 million people will be forcibly displaced or stateless – the highest number in history. Refugees often embark on dangerous journeys in pursuit of safety, and these journeys all-too-frequently meet a tragic end. According to the United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM), migrant deaths in the Central Mediterranean have hit a six-year high in 2023. PWRDF partners are working to support refugees in Gaza, Ethiopia, Tanzania, South Sudan, Jordan, Ukraine and more.
