December 1st marked the first Pit Stop Dinner at St. Paul’s. Since the fire at Kamloops United Church, dinners have been provided as take away meals only. During the cold winter weather, guests are being invited to come in to St. Paul’s Cathedral Hall for a sit down hot meal.

The December 1st meal was staffed almost entirely by volunteers from St. Paul’s. They prepared the main course at the CMHA kitchen. See photos below.

A group prepared take away bag lunches for guests to eat later. See photos below.

Another group of volunteers prepared the church for the arrival of guests and served the meals that were delivered from the CMHA kitchen along with hot beverages. Photos below.

Although the number of guests served were less than anticipated, it was a good opportunity to introduce both the guests and the staff to the new venue. Special thanks to the organizers, Wendy and Valentine.
