On December 20th, a large group children and youth and their families gathered for a festive dinner. It was a time to visit with old and new friends. After dinner, the children played a game to wear off some energy followed by a story about a gingerbread house.

Building mini cookie houses was the next activity.

The cookie houses take shape! Thanks to building helpers Kathy and Catherina.

Through out the evening, children posed for photos in a photo box. Thanks to Lorri for the photography!

Following Friday Family Food and Fun, some families chose to join in with St. Paul’s Christmas Singalong in the Cathedral. Dean Kyle read a story to the children. The children formed an imprompu choir and performed a few songs. Everyone enjoyed singing along to seasonal favorites.

Following the Singalong, all the participants gathered in the hall to enjoy cupcakes and watch the children break open a pinata. There were lots of smiling faces as the children and youth left with lots of candy and their creations.

Next Friday Food and Fun will be January 17th. Watch here for details.
