Youth Led Worship

An amazing youth led worship service was held Sunday November 16th. The Youth picked the hymns, asked for an extended time of praise and worship, gave reflections on the gospel reading, led the prayers, and even distributed communion.  It is wonderful to have these young people taking on this leadership role.

Special thanks to Melissa Green, who mentored them in this endeavour.

Following the service, parish members gathered in the hall for a delicious soup and bun lunch.

Dean Kyle showed off the Tea Towel that will be the First Prize for the winner of the December 7th Cookie Challenge. Get your recipes out and start baking for the chance at this prize. Everyone is welcome to participate in this fun, friendly event to raise funds for the Big Bear Child and Youth Advocacy Centre – and there are all kinds of prizes to be won by the bakers and tasters (100% of the funds raised will be donated.) There is no need to register, simply show up and enjoy the Challenge!
