Music Director

Gail graduated from UBC (B.Mu. and Dip. MUED) and completed her ARCT in piano from the Royal Conservatory. She graduated in the Professional Development Program from Simon Fraser and completed the Orff program (world percussion, choral and creative movement) from Seattle Pacific. 

She has taught privately as well as  24 years in public schools and  3 years teaching MUED through UBC. She has been past music director at Kamloops United Church, St. Andrews Presbyterian and also St. Paul’s a few years ago. 

After returning in 2012 to Kamloops to be with family, Gail studied pipe organ  with Rachel Alflatt  in Vancouver (2014-2020). As a member of the Royal Canadian College of Organists , she has performed in many pipe organ recitals as well as service playing at St. Mary’s in Kerrisdale and Queens United in New Westminster.

She performed and produced two successful Benefit Concerts at St. Paul’s in 2016 and 2017, and was a committee member for successfully raising funds for the new Allen organ in 2018 at KUC. 

In May, 2019, she accepted the position of Music Director for St. Paul’s Cathedral in Kamloops. She strongly believes in team work, choosing music that complements the liturgical calendar and enhancing each service through a variety of choral and instrumental styles of music.
