Lay Pastoral Assistant

Idowu Aina is the last of six children born to the late Elder and Elder Mrs. Amos Adeyemi Aina. Idowu was born on 30 th May 1979. He holds a master’s degree in science education and is currently on the way to earning his Ph.D.
Idowu is married to his lovely wife, Mrs. Opeoluwa Aina, and they both have two beautiful kids together, David Aina and Jemimah Aina.

Idowu was a biology teacher with the Lagos State Ministry of Education in Nigeria, with over 17 years of teaching experience before he and his family relocated to Canada.

Idowu is a strong believer in Jesus Christ and a staunch believer in the Anglican faith. Currently, Idowu is in discernment and attending Licentiate in Theology classes at Huron University, Ontario, Canada, and is on his way to being ordained as a priest of the Anglican Communion of Canada under the Territory of the People.

Presently, he is a Lay Pastoral Assistant at the St Paul’s Cathedral Anglican Church, Kamloops, Canada, where he serves in various capacities as the Lord strengthens him.
Idowu is also a teacher on call with School District 73 and a caregiver with Nexus Community Support Services.
Idowu loves cooking and driving.
