On November 15th, a group of about 25 gathered for a family style meal together, followed by activities with a Fall Squirrel Theme.
We played a game of Squirrel Tag where the “coyotes” chased the “squirrels” and the squirrels could pause safely in a “tree” (under the hula hoop).

Then, the youth went with Melissa to make catapults. With a contest at the end of the evening to see whose could shoot the farthest.

The younger children participated in an action song about squirrels, followed by an engaging story “Those Darn Squirrels!”.

Then they made Pinecone Squirrel Feeders with peanut butter, birdseed, pumpkin seeds, walnuts and cranberries. The squirrels will be eating well today!

Thanks to our volunteers, Nancy, Marian, Rose and Rob. Watch for details of the next Friday Family Food and Fun to be held December 20th.

The catapults were a lot of fun! The dinner was delicious. Thank you.
