St. Paul’s was full of colour on Pentacost Sunday May 24th. Outside the gardens were blooming in fushsia, mauve and shades of green.

Inside, the cathedral was alive with shades of red for Pentacost. The altar clothes and banners were red. Many parishioners were dressed in red. The Dean was wearing a red stole and special red shoes and socks, which he talked about in the Kids Talk. (See below for more)

Dean Kyle explained during the Kids Talk, the red squiggles on his shoes remind him of the fire of the Spirit coming on the Disciples. He said his special socks have “Wanna Taco About Jesus” written on them, which reminds him that “the reason the Holy Spirit comes upon the disciples is to help people know about Jesus.”
Dean Kyle ended the Kids Talk by saying “So on Pentacost, for all of us here and for all of you, we remember that the Holy Spirit is on you so that you can help people know about Jesus by talking about how important Jesus is for you and by helping people and loving people.” A message for us all.
